My mission: to allow the unique voice of each student to shine through...
There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to learning music. I use a varied curriculum which addresses the needs, interests, and ambition of each individual.
Private lessons in Voice, Piano, Songwriting
Heather Platts earned a degree in Music Composition from the University of Idaho, with an emphasis in piano performance. She has performed throughout the western United States as a solo performing songwriter and in the music duo, Crazy Love, with guitarist and fellow performing songwriter Bruce Michael Miller. She has recorded two solo albums of original material. Her duo, Crazy Love, recently released "The Big Give", an album of original songs written about the experience of donating a kidney to Bruce in 2019. The duo is currently recording an album of six original songs about Idaho. They were awarded a grant from the Idaho Arts Commission for the album in 2022.
Heather's real world experience as a performer and recording artist gives her students immeasurable insight into music and performance technique. Using top of the line equipment, such as the Bose L1 Speaker System and Shure Vocal Performance microphones, Heather Platts Voice & Piano Academy offers a completely unique music experience in Twin Falls.
Heather recently became accredited in the Harmony Road Music Course, and is now teaching both private and group lessons using this exciting and engaging music method.
