Big Give

Getting back into the swing of things after a very exciting summer...playing music right up until the day before surgery on August 6th, when I donated my kidney to my partner in life and in music.  Wow, what an incredible experience. I am forever changed.  My recipient is doing fantastic and has healthy kidney function for the first time in 25 years!  What a miracle.  It was a Big Give.  But it has given back to me in a Big Way.

A Big Give comes from a Big Need.  Nearly 100,000 people are on the kidney transplant list.  I can say from my own experience, the value of giving someone a second chance at life has far exceeded the temporary challenges of surgery.  I feel completely recovered and have noticed absolutely zero effects of living with one kidney.  My body is pretty much back to normal after only 9 weeks!  You can find out more about living kidney donation at  National Kidney Foundation

I feel strongly compelled to advocate for this cause through my music, both as a solo artist and alongside my partner and kidney recipient, Bruce Michael Miller.  Our duo is called, "Crazy Love", and the name has taken on a whole new meaning.  I'm confident that our story can be an inspiration to others, and I'm hopeful that we will raise awareness for the Living Donor program. We are currently writing and recording several songs directly related to our shared experience.  What a blessing to be in the business of creative expression!   Songs are stories, and boy do we have one to tell...If you would like to book Crazy Love for a house concert or event, or know of an event or business that could utilize our unique story and performance, please reach out.  We are putting together a wonderful set of songs and stories and are eager to bring them out in to the world...
